Young goalkeeper, Sanon Mugabi, was a surprise inclusion in the starting line up in our 2-1 midweek win over Mbarara City.
The keeper started ahead of Opooka Atino in place of Emmanuel Rubangakene who is not with the team at the moment.
Despite being his first game in the topflight, the youngster went on to make a series of match-determining saves that earned him the Pilsner Man of the match prize.
“It wasn’t by surprise because that is what the coach has been preparing me for,” Mugabi said.
“I will put in more work to see to it that I become a better player every day. My target is to work hard to help the team and go abroad to further my career. But am aware that that can only be fulfilled if I follow the instructions train harder and help the team to get better results,” he added.
